To make sure the Joggo app is running smoothly, take a look at the following settings.
Important settings
Battery optimization
- Open your phone's System Settings.
- Click Apps > Gear Icon > Special Access.
- Turn off Battery Optimization.
Please note: OnePlus might randomly revert this setting. So if you set Joggo to be not optimized, the next day, it may be back to optimized. To avoid the system from automatically reverting to the not optimized setting, refer to the App Locking list section.
Alternative method:
- Open your phone's System Settings.
- Go to Battery > Battery optimization.
- Switch to All apps in the top right menu.
- Choose Joggo > Don’t optimize.
Please note: You might also need to disable the Doze mode in the Developer options in 1+3 and earlier.
Advanced optimization
OnePlus 6 and up
- Go to your phone's System settings
- Open Battery > Battery optimization > (three dots) > Advanced optimization.
You’ll see two options – Deep optimization and Adaptive battery. Both are enabled by default. - Disable this setting to avoid having apps killed.
Sleep standby optimization
OnePlus tries to learn when you are usually asleep, and in those times, it will then disable the phone’s network connections. This setting will prevent push notifications from being delivered. To turn this off, modify the following settings.
App Auto-Launch
- Open your phone's Settings.
- Go to App Auto-Launch
- Disable for Joggo.
App Locking
Locking the app in the Recent app may prevent the app from being killed in the background and the Battery optimization setting to be reverted. However, you may still have to check system settings every once in a while. To put the app in recent apps, follow these steps:
- Start Joggo.
- Go to Recent apps – swipe up and hold to open Recent apps (Apps switcher).
- Long press anywhere on the window and tap the Lock button on the upper-right corner of the app.
- The locked Joggo app will have the closed padlock icon.
Less important settings
Recent apps clearing behavior
Normally when you swipe an app away, it doesn't close. On OnePlus, this may, however, work differently. A recent app clear behavior manager might be set up so that swiping the app to close would kill it. You can explore these settings to make sure that Joggo keeps running in the background.
