To make sure the Joggo app runs smoothly on your OnePlus phone, you’ll need to adjust the following settings:
Important settings
Battery optimization
Open your phone's Settings > Go to Apps > Select the gear icon > Go to Special Access > Turn off Battery Optimization.
Please note: OnePlus might randomly revert this setting, even if you’ve set it to be optimized. To prevent the system from automatically reverting the setting, please refer to the App Locking section on this page.
Alternative method:
Open your phone's System Settings > Go to Battery > Go to Battery Optimization > Switch to All Apps in the top right menu > Choose Joggo > Select Don’t Optimize.
Please note: You might also need to disable the Doze Mode in the Developer Options in OnePlus 3 and earlier.
Advanced optimization
OnePlus 6 and later models
Open your phone’s Settings > Go to Battery > Select Battery Optimization > Go to the three-dot (⁝) menu > Go to Advanced Optimization > Disable Deep Optimization and Adaptive Battery options.
Please note: Both Deep Optimization and Adaptive Battery options are enabled by default on OnePlus phones. By disabling these settings, you’ll prevent your phone from closing any active background apps.
Sleep standby optimization
OnePlus phones have a feature called Sleep Standby Optimization that learns when you usually sleep and disables the phone's network connections during those times. However, this can prevent push notifications from being delivered. If you want to turn this feature off, you can modify the following settings:
App Auto-Launch
Open your phone's Settings > Go to App Auto-Launch > Disable the option for Joggo
App Locking
If you're experiencing issues with the Joggo app being closed in the background or with the Battery Optimization settings being reverted on your OnePlus phone, one solution is to lock the app in the Recent Apps. This can help prevent the app from being closed in the background.
To lock the Joggo app in the Recent Apps on your phone, please follow these steps:
Start the Joggo app > Go to Recent Apps > Swipe up and hold to open Recent Apps (Apps Switcher) > Long press anywhere on the window and tap the Lock button on the upper-right corner of the app. The locked Joggo app will have the closed padlock icon.
Less important settings
Recent apps clearing behavior
When you swipe an app away on most phones, it doesn't close the app. However, if you're using a OnePlus device, there may be a Recent App Clear Behavior Manager that's configured to shut down the app when you swipe it away. Therefore, to make sure Joggo keeps running in the background, you'll need to navigate your phone's settings and adjust the options accordingly.
